Sie gilt als eine der profundesten Forscherinnen zum Thema Cannabis: Privatdozentin (PD) Dr. Eva Hoch, Psychologin an der Klinik und Poliklinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie am LMU Klinikum, beschäftigt sich schon seit fast 20 Jahren wissenschaftlich mit den Effekten von Cannabis. Jetzt ist sie als einzige Europäerin und als einzige Frau Co-Autorin des Artikels „Cannabis use and cannabis use disorder“ in der aktuellen Ausgabe des britischen Wissenschafts-Magazins „Nature“. Doch das, was man da zu lesen bekommt, ist enttäuschend - und mitunter verzerrt.

Was Dr. Hoch über eine Pressemitteilung der LMU verkündet, liest sich - gelinde gesagt - skurril:

"Auch die medizinische Wirkung von CBD wird gerade viel diskutiert, aber wir haben noch kaum Studien über seine Wirkungen und Nebenwirkungen“, sagt PD Dr. Hoch. Unter anderem wird diskutiert, ob hohe Dosen CBD eventuell Embryonen, Spermien und Leber schädigen könnten.

So liefert die Suche nach dem Begriff "Cannabidiol" bei Google Scholar allein mehr als 46.000 wissenschaftliche Publikationen. Seit Beginn dieses Jahres erschienen mehr als 1000 Fachartikel.
